Meet Angelica M. Carranza, MSW, LCSW
Licensed Clinical Social Worker | Psychotherapist | Immigration Mental Health Evaluator
Welcome. My name is Angelica M. Carranza, MSW, LCSW (California License #103817), and I am the founder of Inspiring Hope Counseling Services. I obtained my Bachelor of Arts in Psychology with a concentration in Human Development from California State University, Stanislaus, in 2007, followed by my Master of Social Work in 2010. Over the course of my professional career, I have been privileged to serve culturally diverse populations in community health centers and educational settings. My experience includes providing services to children, adolescents, adults, and families confronting a wide range of emotional and life challenges.
My therapeutic approach is trauma-informed, client-centered, and strengths-based. I believe healing begins in a safe, supportive environment where individuals feel heard, respected, and empowered. By integrating evidence-based practices with genuine compassion and cultural humility, I help clients build resilience, develop effective coping strategies, and achieve meaningful, lasting change.
In addition to providing psychotherapy, I specialize in immigration mental health evaluations. For more than nine years, I have conducted comprehensive evaluations for U Visas, VAWA (Violence Against Women Act), and Extreme Hardship Waivers. To ensure my evaluations meet current clinical and legal standards, I have completed specialized training through the Immigration Evaluation Training Center, PESI, and the Immigration Evaluation Institute. To date, I have completed more than 100 comprehensive immigration mental health evaluations, providing objective, trauma-informed reports that accurately document the psychological impact of trauma, abuse, victimization, and hardship.
Whether providing therapy or conducting forensic evaluations, I am committed to delivering ethical, high-quality clinical services with professionalism, integrity, and compassion. My goal is to ensure every client feels supported throughout the process and to provide referring attorneys with comprehensive, clinically sound evaluations that meet the highest professional standards.
