At Inspiring Hope Counseling Services, we provide comprehensive, trauma-informed immigration mental health evaluations.. Each evaluation is individualized, culturally responsive, and based on clinical interviews, psychological assessment, and evidence-based practices. Our reports objectively document the psychological impact of trauma, abuse, persecution, victimization, or hardship while addressing the specific psychological issues relevant to each type of immigration case.

Extreme Hardship Waiver Evaluations

Extreme Hardship evaluations assess the emotional, psychological, medical, financial, and family-related factors that may contribute to hardship experienced by a qualifying U.S. citizen or lawful permanent resident family member if separation or relocation were to occur. The evaluation examines how these circumstances may affect mental health, daily functioning, family stability, and overall quality of life.

Asylum Evaluations

Asylum evaluations assess the psychological impact of persecution, violence, torture, or fear of future persecution in an individual's country of origin. These evaluations document trauma history, current psychological symptoms, and the emotional and functional effects of past experiences while considering cultural and contextual factors that may influence the individual's presentation.

Violence Against Women Act (VAWA) Evaluations

VAWA evaluations assess the psychological effects of battery, abuse, or extreme cruelty experienced within a qualifying family relationship. The evaluation examines the history and dynamics of the abuse, its impact on emotional and psychological functioning, trauma symptoms, coping strategies, and the individual's overall mental health.

U-Visa Evaluations

U Visa evaluations assess the psychological impact of qualifying criminal victimization. These evaluations explore the emotional, psychological, and functional effects of the crime, including trauma-related symptoms, changes in daily functioning, and the individual's recovery process. Reports document how the experience has affected the person's mental health and overall well-being.
